School Refurbishment
Amber Construction worked in partnership with the London Borough of Lewisham and McBains to deliver refurbishment and improvement works across a number of occupied schools as part of Lewisham’s Schools Minor Works Programme 2024.
Works at Elfrida Primary School and Grade II Listed Fairlawn Primary School focused on improving the buildings while maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. All works were carried out within live school settings, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure the safety of pupils and staff while minimising disruption.
Wherever possible, the most intrusive works were completed during the school holidays, supported by daily communication with key school contacts. This approach ensured that the programme was delivered safely, efficiently and collaboratively, while maintaining the continuity of the schools’ day-to-day operations.
