Hassan Gunay

Chief Executive Officer and Owner

Hassan founded Amber Construction Services Ltd in 2001 as a roofing contractor and has overseen the growth of the business. He continues to drive the business forward, supporting our senior team with a commitment to service excellence.

Simon Lacey

Managing Director

Simon joined Amber in 2021 bringing a wealth of knowledge and 30 years industry experience.

Hassan and Simon’s values are aligned in building on Amber’s successes as a people focussed contractor of choice. Simon will utilise his previous 12 years experience as a Managing Director of a Tier 1 contractor to enhance our growth and rounded delivery offering.

Helen John

HR Director

Since 2003, Helen has helped grow the business with Hassan, shaping and managing all levels of HR and finance responsibilities.

In 2021, Helen was promoted to Human Resources Director overseeing our growing team, supporting wellbeing and training.

Bill Watts

Construction Director

With a wealth of experience and knowledge managing large scale refurbishment projects across London and the South East, Bill oversees our delivery teams to meet and exceed client expectations whilst championing safety on site.

Toby Blunsten-Fox

Senior Business Development Manager

Joining Amber in March 2024, Toby has been building the forward thinking pipeline of opportunity for the business and navigating the market place to ensure Amber are in consideration for the right projects now and for the future.

Aydin Gunay

Head of Roofing (Commercials)

Aydin has followed in his father’s footsteps demonstrating entrepreneurial skills in shaping our roofing division, with a clear focus on customer care, service delivery and innovative solutions.

Along side Tom Brennan, Aydin manages our in-house roofing teams of approved installers and works alongside our accredited supply chain partners/manufacturers.

Tom Brennan

Head of Roofing (Operations)

Working in the industry since 2005 and delivering successfully for a Tier 1 contractor, Tom now brings his expertise to our roofing team to drive forward better ways of working and raising our standards.

Tom works closely with Aydin to ensure all our projects in the roofing team are delivered to the highest quality.

Matthew O'Neill

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Since 2010 Matthew has developed his construction career across a range of roles in the industry and honed his skills, training and professional development in health and safety over that time.

Every project and site is monitored and evaluated by Matthew to ensure that we are keeping the public, residents and our team safe.

Sam Snelling

Head of Bids

Sam joined Amber in 2023, bringing with him 15 years’ experience being part of, and leading, work-winning teams in the social housing planned maintenance sector.

Bringing experience of leading bid teams within Tier 1 contractors, Sam will focus on delivering true value to our clients, using his experience to drive collaboration, innovation and compliance.
