The Client

EastendHomes are a Registered Provider of Social Housing based in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and was set up as part of the Tower Hamlets Housing Choice programme and registered with the Housing Corporation in January 2005.

The Amber team delivered multiple contracts to deliver fire stopping and compartmentalisation internally as well as remove the cladding from the exterior of the tower block.

Cladding removal at Denning Point

We worked closely with EastEnd Homes to upgrade the internal fire stopping, communal decorations and remove the cladding system for replacement on this 22 storey residential block on commercial street.Take a look at the time-lapse video of Amber Construction removing the cladding at Denning Point.

The works

  • Removal of cladding for testing
  • Temporary works and access design/arrangements
  • Removal of cladding panels
  • Removal of insulation behind cladding
  • Fire stopping/FRA works
  • Minor concrete repairs
  • Minor plaster repairs
  • Installation of metal doors and frames to electrical risers
  • Replacement of roofing
  • Survey of riser cupboards, in chutes and communal doors to identify missing or damaged fire stopping, seals and closers (plus rectification works as required)
  • Upgrading of Landlord’s lighting and other electrical works
  • New mains isolator
