Enhanced Fire Safety
Amber Construction were appointed by RBKC to deliver refurbishment works across 72 occupied homes within two blocks.
Following increased fire safety requirements, RBKC instructed Amber to incorporate A2 fire-rated coatings into the new communal flooring specification. Working closely with fire safety specialists Excel Fire, we reviewed the requirements against BS EN 13501-1 and current UK Building Regulations, adjusting the programme to accommodate the additional works.
Open communication and a strong relationship with RBKC enabled the variation to be managed efficiently, ensuring the works progressed safely and with minimal disruption to residents.
