In partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge, Amber Construction delivered essential roofing refurbishment works at Aldersbrook School, installing new pitched roofs and liquid-applied gutter systems to improve the building’s durability, performance and energy efficiency. These upgrades protected the building and created a better learning environment for years to come.

All works were carried out within a live school setting, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure the safety of pupils and staff while minimising disruption. Working in close partnership with Redbridge Council, Amber Construction maintained the highest standards of safety, quality and collaboration, reflecting its dedication to delivering reliable and sustainable improvements to local community facilities.

Social Value Commitments

As part of our social value commitment, the site team delivered a Health & Safety assembly to educate students about the risks associated with working near a live construction site and the measures taken to identify and manage potential hazards.

Following the session, students were invited to create their own Health & Safety awareness posters, putting their learning into practice and promoting safety across the school. The winning students were presented with a selection of arts and crafts supplies as a prize.
