Project Completion - St Alphege Care Home
Amber Construction Services are delighted to share the successful completion of a significant window replacement project at St Alphege Care Home in Dover, delivered in partnership with Southern Housing as part of their long-term Capital Works Programme.
Located within a designated conservation area, the project involved the installation of high-quality heritage-style uPVC windows, carefully balancing modern performance with the building’s traditional appearance. The completed works have enhanced the property while preserving its character and the architectural integrity of the surrounding historic environment.
The new windows provide improved thermal performance to help maintain comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the year, alongside enhanced acoustic insulation that reduces external noise and creates a quieter, more comfortable environment for residents.
Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful refurbishment can preserve heritage buildings while improving residents’ comfort, wellbeing and energy efficiency.
