Health and Safety
At Amber we are dedicated and fully committed to ensure all of our Staff, Operatives, Clients, Residents and the General Public remain safe at all times.
All of our Staff and Operatives receive regular safety training. Our Managers identify risks associated with our works and then put in place controlled measures to significantly minimise these risks prior to commencement of any works.
This policy is rigorously applied to both our Internal Workforce and our Approved Sub-Contractors and is a major influence on Amber’s impeccable safety record.
However at Amber we are not complacent with safety and we employ the services of a Specialist Safety Consultant to carry out regular ad-hoc site safety inspections that are reported directly to our management with a copy to the client.

This site inspection is followed up with regular in depth safety audits of our complete safety systems with recommendations of areas of improvement.
We are accredited by CHAS and we are full members of the British Safety Council and the Construction Health & Safety Group. Together with our Consultants and the CITB these organisations provide us with the advice and training to continually improve and minimise risk.
In order to meet our legal and moral obligations the following principles are provided and maintained in all Amber Construction Services Ltd operations.
These are to:
- Take all reasonable measures to prevent accidents and incidents that may cause harm or damage.
- Provide all employees with sufficient information, instruction, supervision and training so that they may carry out their work in a safe, healthy and risk free environment.
- Assess and, where practicable, eliminate all potential risks to Health and Safety and review as necessary.
- Actively encourage employee, client and contractor participation in Health and Safety matters.
- Set, maintain and review Safety Management Systems with the objective of preventing accidents and promoting a healthy and safe working environment.
The above principles are aimed at creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. They will ensure that employees at all levels are aware of their legal and moral obligations and responsibilities to themselves and others.
It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure that employees and contractors comply with the requirements and standards that are laid down.
