At Amber we are proud of our multicultural workforce. We are full members of London Equal Opportunities Federation (LEOF) and our ethos on equality is spread throughout our organisation. www.leof.org

Our Directors play an active role with LEOF in attracting applicants to the construction industry from ethnic minority groups including women and the disabled community.

Joining LEOF, and committing to their Code of Practice, is a practical way to achieve equal opportunities in contracting goods and services, while contributing to valuing diversity, best value and sustaining diverse local communities.

We train our managers in interview techniques to ensure all applicants are treated fairly. We record the ethnicity of all applicants and carry out an annual ethnicity audit of our current workforce.

Also we always advertise employment vacancies in the local newspapers, job centres, schools and the local community offices within the communities we serve and we encourage and support apprentership schemes with the CITB.

Our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed by our senior management to ensure we continually improve our approach to equality.
